Want your bathroom to feel luxurious, like an at-home spa or top-class hotel? The details make all the difference: Think a bathroom tray, soap dispensers, and ample space for displaying cosmetics and cosmetics. Above all, the selection of good-quality, matching towels of varying size types will get the look and feel you’re after.

Invest in the best you can afford, just as you would for luxury furniture. They are, after all, what you hold against your skin – the largest organ of the body. If your skin is sensitive – or you simply prefer fabrics that feel wholesome against your skin – poor-quality towels simply won’t do.

Ideally, you want to have matching items including the main types: bath sheets (which are the largest) and bath towels (the regular type used for drying off the body).

Then consider the smaller, but no less important items, such as face towels; bath mats; and hand towels

Given their ample size, bath sheets are the ultimate luxury. Typically, they measure at 90cm in width and 180cm in length. Large ones, however, can be 100cm in width and 200cm in length.

Thicker, heavier bath sheets made from mostly cotton are usually more absorbent. Remember that their softness will wane after a few washes, so choose the softest kind you can find in store. Turkish cotton is a decadent choice. Cotton blends are often more durable than 100% cotton, so they’ll last longer. And two-ply is always better than one-ply.

Style wise, white is always a winner – especially if you’re going for that hotel aesthetic. But other neutral shades will work, too, depending on your overall design scheme. To consider the wellbeing of not only your skin, but also the planet, make less of an environmental impact by going for eco-friendly, sustainably sourced fabrics.
