If all you can think of is all the incredible resorts on your getaway bucket-list, you’re not alone. While it’s not always possible to jet across the planet to a jaw-dropping escape, if you know how to best combine modern luxury furniture with resort-style accessories and flourishes, you can create an interior that feels like a holiday no matter what time of year it is.

Here are seven tips to get you started:

For instant vacation decor inspiration, look to nature’s textures and colours and take ideas from there. You can easily create a polished yet organic-rustic look by partnering a variety of furnishings – think a sofa bed, armchair, and wooden bench – all crafted from different materials.
